This is the final update from me in Brighton. This time. It has now been 16 completed weeks with laughs and joy. The best time in my life. I know I am coming back in a few weeks, but what am I coming back to? I wont come back to all the friends I've made here now, I wont come back to the family I've lived with. Everything will be new and I will start my life for real then. I wont have the same comfort as now, I really have to do everything on my own and take responsibility for everything. I'm a bit scared for that. I was scared when I arrived here at first. Alone in England, never been here before and didn't know where I was going. I had a phone number to my host family and that was more or less it. 16 weeks later and I feel like I'm really home in this family. They let me do what I want, as long as I tell them if I'm coming home and sleep in my own bed or will be at a friend's house. They have given me the support I need and I've been able to talk about my problems with them if I feel like I need to. They have let me into their family life, calling me one of them and treating me like a daughter. Who thought that it would be like this?

To all the friends I've made: Thank you! That's all I really can say to you. You all mean a lot to me and I don't know how I could have made this time without you all. Some of you mean more to me, but everyone has their piece of my soul and will always have. All the times I came depressed to school, all of you cared and the day I didn't come to school, all of you wondered where I was. I really have been able to be myself with you. You have all been listening to my sorrows and trying to help me as good as you've been able to. Without you maybe things would have been a lot different than it is now.

I'm not just talking about my classmates and my new English friends, it's also for the teachers and staff at Loxdale. Without you the school wouldn't be what it is. The mixture of all your personalities makes the school very unique and I'm very happy to have been a part of it. All the laughs we have shared in class and the good moments where we just have been talking and make time past. You are by far the best teachers I've had and I wont forget you and indeed you wont forget me either! That's a promise!

Well.. I have to go to the bus now and start my journey back home. I feel more like home here tho'. Don't they say that
Home is where the heart is ?

Last day of school today. Feels quite weird how fast the time actually has pasted! These weeks have been the best in my life and ask me about 30 years and my answer will still be the same, I'm pretty sure that is so! I will miss everyone at Loxdale who aren't coming back to Brighton. I've had a great time with everyone and I'm happy that I've made so many good friends.
Just finished packing. Yes, I'm going home on Saturday but I thought it could be good to have a day to just relax and hang out with people as a final of the Brighton time. BUT! I am coming back! Sooner, or later, than you might think.
Tho' no more sad looks or anything. Tonight I'm going out with some Revenge-virgins again. Going to be fun! Before that Amy, Maria and maybe Anna will come here and we will have dinner :) I'm very happy Amy and Maria definitely are coming back. We'll have a great time together ;P
Tomorrow is last day at school with a special Champagne breakfast, just like the graduation of the Swedish 6th form college haha.

Another weekend has passed and the last one for me at Loxdale. Time was spent in Paris and it is indeed the most beautiful city I've ever been to.

Went to the Eiffel Tower, but didn't go up in it due to hight problems.
Saw the great view from Sacre Coeur.
Stood in a huge queue to the Louvree and saw the tiny Mona Lisa.
Spent more time on a bus than in actual Paris.
Frost bit my toes more than one time.
Sat on a bench under the Eiffel Tower for 3 hours waiting.
Got disappointed of Moulin Rouge, was just.. blah!
Didn't take any photos of Notre Dame.
Had Crêpes with Nutella to dinner, yummy.
Peed in a park between the Eiffel Tower and Paris wheel sober.

This is just a few of the things I did during the 4 days spent to, in and back from Paris. I will definitely go back one day, one day...

Paris, here I come!

Tomorrow I'm going to Paris, France, with a bunch of my classmates and some other English people who we have never met before. We'll be away till Monday evening, it's going to be a great trip I'm so sure about that! There will be a great opportunity to take a lot of photos and hopefully a lot of fantastic photos over the city and what makes it Paris. I know I will fail with the language, only know oui and merci. Is that enough do you think or will the baguette men come after me? Maybe they will be nice to me if I impress them with another word, Bonjour, or talk English with a French accent? We'll see. My number one mission this weekend will be to keep alive. The second one... Make sure number one will come true!

Au revoir!

GREAT NEWS!

Today at school we had photography class again with out fantastic teacher Nic Sinclair. He is a world famous photographer and today it was time to criticize the photos we had taken since last week, theme; Portraits.
And guess what!!! I got the best critique! Actually, I was the only one who he didn't have anything bad to say about! I was and still am so surprised! He even asked me if I want to do photography professional or ever thought about it. I am stunned! A world famous photographer said that MY photos would fit in really good magazines! :O Maybe I should reconsider my career as a photographer now!

Tomorrow we have photography again and we will have a fashion shoot. I think this one will be really really good too! Me, Emma and Anna got some great ideas and I'm sure the result will turn out great!

Also, I got my birthday present from Muffin today! THANK YOU ♥

A new week has started and I only got 12 days left before I go home. That's sad! I do start to miss everyone back home now, but now I want to stay here more due to new friends and the fact that I'm actually starting to get warm feet, finally! But, I'll be back sooner than you think ;)

Yesterday I went to Eastbourne and met the AuPair family! It was lovely! I wasn't as nervous as I thought I would be and the family were great. The kids are like 3 monkeys, but so adorable and cute! They live in this really cool house that is kind of huge! Bigger than the house at Mill Lane where I'm located in now at the very moment. I hope the want me in their family, they seemed very pleased with me and all I can do now is to wait a few days and see what they think!

This week: I got the finishing party with my school on Wednesday I think. It'll be nice. Also on Friday I'm leaving for Paris for 4 days (4th-7th December), will be amazing!

Now I do have to get dressed, have breakfast and get ready for another day at Loxdale!

Lucia!

A few weeks earlier than it should be, but today was the day when Loxdale opened up to host families and friends, inviting them all to join us in our Lucia celebration! It was some lovely hours with a traditional Swedish Lucia choir with Lucia herself, Victoria. They did it very good! We also had a play from the drama class and it was fun! They made everything very good and Ida is just perfect! Loved it! After all of this, among with Lussebullar, Pepparkakor and really strong Glögg (someone must have been there with the bottle!), Father Christmas a.k.a. Tomten came for visit the children. [photos of everything is available on my facebook]

Lovely day! Tomorrow I'm going to Eastbourne and meet a family, that is interested of having me as their au pair. Hopefully they will want me after meeting me and I'll have my closest future figured out :)

Report.

Reports on last week:

Thursday: Brighton got lit up! It looks a bit cooler now, but all the lights are in that weird kind of blue that after a while is just annoying. I didn't see the actual lightening because I went home before it, so therefor no photos. But you can see it here http://emazogoestheworld.blogg.se/2009/november/happy.html It's a classmate's blog with a photo of the Clock Tower with the lights surrounding it.

Friday: The school trip. I had to wake up at 7.oo am but I got up at 7.3o am instead after realizing I'm fast in mornings! Got to the coach and got a seat next to lovely Siri :) We had a good talk in the start of the trip but then music took over both of us and we went off in our own worlds. The tour of Southbank which I went on was interesting. We walked from London Bridge I think and back to London Eye. On our way we stopped for something to drink and me, Maria and Amy went to Starbucks and had some lovely hot chocolate, coffee and something a farmer girl doesn't know what it is. After the tour we three and Reza went to a place I was at during the Free Hugs Tour. Me and Amy sat there for about 3 hours talking about life and having a good time. Then it was time for Parliament visit. It was actually INTERESTING! I didn't think it would be any fun at all but when we got there everything changed. I had a good time there but couldn't wait to get back to Portslade and Brighton. We left school at 8.15 am and got back at 8.45-ish pm. 12 hours school trip done. But then when we were back we had to get ready to enter the streets of Brighton because we wanted to party! To sum the times of this day up; I woke up at 7.3o am and went to bed around 4.3o am. 21 hours, no sleep, I love my bed!

Saturday: Just slept a few hours this night because I was going to meet Siri in Brighton and go to ChoccyWoccyDoodah! We met up with Urban and Merlin (Rebecca and Malin) after trying to guide them to the café. They were in the wrong end of Brighton more or less and man, it was difficult to guide them I must say. But they got there and we had some lovely cakes! After that me and Siri walked around in North Laines and also went to the café which has a Swedish shelf full of Swedish products! We really wanted to buy everything there, but we had to control ourselves because it's really expensive there and we left the café empty handed. I bought a necklace in a shop in the Lanes. Yes a necklace, but I broke it and made 6 bracelets out of it instead. That is more my style! After a few hours in town we went back home for dinner and rest our tired bodies. Then back to Brighton again! Me and Siri met up again and went to the cinema and saw New Moon! It was good! The book is way better tho' but that's how it should be, right? If you ever go to England you must go to the cinema and see a POPULAR movie. It's quite amazing! Nothing like in Sweden I bet, people actually go crazy here!

I know you want photos and they will come. But now I have to go and meet Anna and catch the bus to Brighton.
