As soon as Thanksgiving is over, Christmas preperation starts. Which I totally don't mind at all! First I'll tell you about Turkey day.
As a tradition, the whole family on Jess' mom's side gathers in one of the uncle's house for a feast dinner. I don't remember how many siblings Madge (Jess' mom) got, but maybe around 6 of them came to the dinner. Yeah, there are a lot of them. Then there's the husbands and wives. Add about 2 kids at least to each of them. Plus some of them had kids of their own. And then there were Grandma. The most precious little lady I've seen in my whole life! At first she almost thought I was Jess, because she couldn't see her haha It was so cute, she even knew I was Swedish! During the night we talked a lot and she told me how much she and Jess are alike, which I can totally see. Oh what a cutie! :) The family were about 4 times as many as my family are all together. Both of my mom and my dad's side. Quite a shock I must say, but a blast! Everyone are really nice and so funny and I had a good time. Plus the food were amazing! And the deserts... I think Christmas will be as fun, if not better!
As a finale of Thanksgiving day, we went to see the new Harry Potter. It was me, Jess, Nick, Madge, cousin Sarah, cousin Carol, cousin Jen and and and I think aunt Debbie. All the aunts looked the same so I think it was her. (I don't even know if I met everybody at the dinner, which I probably didn't do, and I think I said hi to a few twice.) Back to the movie, it was A-M-A-Z-I-N-G!!! I can't wait till the last part is out so I can see that one as well. I'm sure it will be another masterpiece.
Yesterday, me and Jess decided to put the Christmas tree together and so we did. They have a plastic tree instead of a real one, but it really looks like a real tree! Madge and Padge (explanation: these are the names Jess call her parents, not the actual ones lol) put up the lights when we were done and it looks so pretty. I can't wait to come back here for Christmas to see all the ornaments up as well! There's also a lot of decorations up in the rest of the house as well and it's so pretty! To continue on the Christmas track, me and Jess did our best to get some of the outdoor decorations up today as well. We managed to get some trees and bushes dressed in lights, plus a concrete line they have on the front of their house under the windows where we let the lights rest. It looks really pretty and well done since it's the first time we did it and since it must have been just below freezing point outside.
Back to yesterday, I got to meet Jess' best friend Lindsey. We went to a nice Chinese restaurant and had dinner, waiting time for a table was 40 min. Ew. That would so not happen in Eling ;) Food was delicious and Lindsey is really nice. We all had a good night I bet. After dinner me and Jess walked around a bit outside the mall it was at because she used to work there. It was over 9pm and one store was still opened so we went in to check if they had any jackets I like and they did. Surprisingly, it's as thin as a spring jacket but as warm as any other jacket I've ever tried! I'm really thinking about buying it, even if it cost $200. It's great quality tho and it's beautiful. Getting it I think!
And then back to today. This evening Jess' parents took us all out for dinner. The food wasn't that great, but we went on lights adventures after and looked at houses outdoor decorations. It was lovely! Me and Jess had done it the night before and it's so pretty with all the lights everywhere. I can't wait till Christmas when there will be snow and the lights! So pretty!!
Tomorrow we're going back to GV again. 3 hours in a car, oh joy!
Welcome to my own place in Internet space! Here you'll read about my life when I'm travelling around the world to live in different cities and countries. I hope you enjoy your visit on my page and I hope you'll come back in the near future.

This update will be a normal post, since I haven't updated in a few days. I think this is how I will do it this week since we're doing stuff all the time. Easier that way.
I've been at Jess' parents' house now since Tuesday evening, starting it off with the worst cold I've probably ever had. I had the worst headache ever, body aches, a very sore throat and probably a fever on top of that. Tho' Jess gave me some medicine when we got to her house and now I just have a sore throat left to deal with :)
Yesterday, we spent the day being top chefs. Yeah, that's right. We made cheesecake cookies and they are so delicious! I've never really liked cheesecake before because of the cream cheese, but man these ones are heaven! We also went for a walk with Jess' dog Scooter, who is the most precious and beautiful dog I've seen in my whole life. He can do all these cool tricks and he's a very good dog. Tho' he wants to eat our hamster so we have to be careful.
We also cooked dinner for the house, curry chicken :3 It was good, but the rice was (as her dad and brother let us know more than one time) not fully cooked. Anyways, they ate it and there's almost no leftovers. After dinner we spent the night playing games and it was fun.
Today it's Thanksgiving day or whatever they call it here. So it's turkey time! Tonight we're going to Jess' uncle's house where all her family will come and hang out for the evening. Lots of people to say hi to, let's hope my throat will be nice to me!

Ate, but shouldn't have done it: Probably I will regret some of the food tonight :P
Right now: Watching a movie, Jess is taking a nap. Poor girl is so tired.
Things I did: Took a walk at the same place as the other day, but a different trail. Walked for about 1.5hour :)
Things to do: Just relax.
What did Hammy Speedster do? Bite/Nibble everything she came across when we took her out of the cage. Including our pants and finger.
Looking forward to: More sleep and to meet Jess' dog, Scooter, on Tuesday!

Game day!
Woke up: At 7am. On a Saturday. But we had to get up, shower and get going to the football game.
Breakfast: Cereals.
Lunch: Half a hot dog, half a bratwurst and some Mexican food (don't know what it was) and some Vodka drinks.... (at 10.30am in the morning)
Snack: Apple
Dinner: Domino's Pizza and cheese sticks
Ate, but shouldn't have done it: The dinner...
Things I did: Today we went to Michigan State University to watch their last home played game for the season. Apparently everyone gets wasted before the game, also called "tale gating" and since it started at noon it was the earliest I've ever drank in my life. Alcohol that is. It was so nice to be able to drink with Jess and the girl we went with, Emily because the cops don't really care if minors drink so it was fun :) Also we could take whatever we wanted to drink and eat at the tale gate party we were at so it was nice. Loads of people everywhere and tale gate parties all over campus. The campus of MSU is probably as big as the area of Eling, my hometown populated by 210 people, but it looks like a city. Big. We had tickets for the student section and it was insane! Great atmosphere all the time and I ended up following the game pretty good. There's so many weird rules and things to think about but I got the basics at least :) MSU ended up winning after a very nervous ending with the opposite team, Purdue in the lead. But it was great, and I'm very happy we went to see this very game. I guess it was a perfect first football game for me :)
Tho, standing up for about 3-4 hours (I guess) in freezing cold weren't that much fun. But that's a part of the live watching of any kind of outdoor sport :)
What did Hammy Speedster do? Missed me and Jess all day.
Looking forward to: Sleeeeeeep!

Me, Sparty (MSU's mascot) and Jess at the tale gating party.
MSU's marching band. One of the coolest things I've experienced.
The stadium was full of people, so more came after the pic was taken.
I guess about 80,000 showed up. Epic!

Stole some of the paper we put around her water bottle so it's not all the way down in her nest, and she used it to make her nest puffier.Looking forward to: 1. Tomorrow's football game! Apparently it's a Big 10 game, meaning it's almost bigger than professional football (NFL) around here. Impressive. 2. CHRISTMAS! We went to the grocery store yesterday and they have so much Christmas stuff I didn't know where to look. I wanted everything in that place. Everything.

I've worked a bit on my website and added a comment box in each portfolio category. So please go ahead and tell me what you think about my photos :)
Woke up at: 9am. Apparently Jess was able to wake up and climb over me without waking me up and then woke me up to say bye before she left for school (which was at 9am). She left and I passed out again and woke up around 11. Great day!
Breakfast: French Toast <3
Lunch: Yogurt and orange juice.
Snack: Probably some pretzels (salta pinnar) or mini carrots.
Dinner: Will heat up hamburgers which I made a few days ago.
Ate, but shouldn't have eaten it: Even today has been a very good day! Nothing unnecessary :D
Right now: Watching TV, America's Next Top Model. And waiting for the laundry to be done, oh yes I'm doing the laundry!
Things I did: Worked out for 40 min, shower, laundry, organize the closet, cleaning the room...
Things I didn't do: ---
To do: Fold and put away the clothes when they're dry and make the bed when the sheets are washed.
What Hammy Speedster did? Threw her poo out of the cages. I guess today is a cleaning day for both of us.
Looking forward to: Saturday, going to an American Football game for the first time in my life :)

New start?
I know I'm terrible updating this thing. I just don't know what to write since we're not really doing anything apart from school work. Tho my good friend Fanny (don't laugh, she can't help it) told me to just write what I've done during the day, what I eat and stuff.
So let's do this.
Woke up at: 7:20. Honestly, I don't remember because I were probably awake 95% more than I was asleep.
Breakfast: 2 graham crackers with milk and 2 peanut butter and jelly toast. Oh, and a few raisins.
Lunch: Leftovers, rice with chicken, onion and pepper cocked in Jack Daniel's BBQ sauce and some spices.
Snack: Banana.
Dinner: I think we'll have bacon sandwich. Turkey bacon sandwich.
Ate, but shouldn't have eaten it: Today has been a healthy day. *knock on wood*
Right now: Sitting at GVSU Pew Campus and waiting for Jess to finish class, tho she just started.
Things I did: Watched the remaining 2 hours of The Return of the King and emailed some people.
Things I didn't do: I did what I was supposed to do.
To do: Nothing, well I do have to read for school *where's my book*.
What Hammy Speedster did? Farted. We blame the hamster.
Went to bed: Last night around midnight, think it'll be something like that tonight again.
Looking forward to: Getting my new lenses for my camera that I ordered, they will come next week. Also my very first Thanksgiving which is next week. Meeting the whole family. Nervous!
If there are any suggestions to add onto the list just comment and let me know. I will accept all kinds of suggestions.... for now.

Belated thank you

the cupcakes |
I celebrated my birthday with Jess and her roomies, plus a few more people. I made Swedish dinner: meatballs, mashed potatoes and lingon berries! It was delicious and everyone loved it. Me and Jess also made cupcakes, American style, and they were delicious as well. Good birthday over all.
I'd like to thank you who congratulated me on my day here on the blog, and anywhere else. Love you all!
