This year has passed so fast. It's been the best year in my life so far, I hope 2011 can bring it as well!
(I tried to make everything come in order, but I think I failed.)
My 2010 started at home in Sweden. We had lots of snow and for once our ponds froze so we could walk on it!
ENGLAND
Even if Sweden where beautiful at the time, I decided to go back to Brighton for work. It was another best time of my life, seeing as the time I spent there in 2009 was just as good as 2010.
I got the job as an Au Pair for 2 kids in Hove, just outside Brighton and I worked for them for a few months.
I went to London to meet up with a friend from Berlin who where there for the weekend.
Also, I hung out a lot with my good friends from the Loxdale time, who also had decided to come back!
And this way, I got to know the band Two Choices.
And then there was Student Pride. Which made me very happy!
I met this wonderful girl Jess at the main Student Pride event. And we're still together, almost 10 months now.
One of my best friends went to London with her boyfriend, so I took Jess with me and we went to meet up with them.
And then my sister came to Brighton to visit me and to do her work experience at Loxdale.
I showed her around Brighton (above) and London (below).
We went for a walk at the Downs with Sandra and Jess, just looking at the views and hanging out.
Thanks to the volcano eruption, both of us got to go to Calais in France where our parents picked my sister up.
Jess' roomies threw a Change Your Sex Party and my friend Gemma came as Zac Efron (here with a temporary mustache) and Jess were Hitler. I were MJ if you wonder.
Tourists as we should be when in London, Madame Tussaud and London Zoo where great things to see! And with the 2 for 1 tickets, it was even more worth it!
We attempted to have a pancake lunch at my place, but it ended up with French toast!
We had a Easter dinner at my place as well.
I helped Emelie baby sit on her of the twin babies she was Au Pairing for. Such a cutie!
In June, Jess made an attempt to surprise me and take me to The Rocket Summer's show in Brighton.
We were at the very front in the middle!
Let's not forget the great parties in the clubs! First we have Coalition with some of Jess' roomies and then there's my favorite, Revenge.
All my friends came to my Bye-party and we started at the beach.
Then went to R-Bar! (Thanks to Gemma for taking the photo.)
IRELAND
We also went to Ireland to visit one of my best friends, and we were in time for Pride. But I can't find any photos from then so we'll keep what happened a secret.
SWEDEN
Time to go back to Sweden and Jess came to visit me for a month!
And she learned how to play Kubb!
I had my breakthrough! Was laying on the bed in Mike Posner's Cooler than you video!
(It's just a look-alike)
USA
I got a Visa to go visit Jess in the US for 5 months. This is some of the things we've done so far.
Walked around campus.
Walked around downtown Grand Rapids
View from our room during the fall.
We went for walks around where we live and made new friends.
Having new experiences with cooking.
Going on a trip with Jess' parents.
Visiting Chicago, the city Swedes helped to build!
While there we went to the Swedish Museum.
And walked around in the Swedish area looking at flags.
I took photos of Jess.
And we have been baking a lot!
We even made an attempt on the Swedish Christmas buns.
Thanksgiving cupcake!
We went for walks in the park.
Cuddled with Jess' dog Scooter when we're at her parents place.
Watched a hockey game in Grand Rapids, a lot of Swedes have played for this team!
Going around watching people's Christmas decorations.
And having 2 hamster! Buzz the Hamster is the brown cutie.
And Hammy the Speedster is the grey one.
Sadly, Hammy passed away on the 26th of December but we will always remember her as the most awesome pet we've ever had. Love you, Hammy ‹3
This is my 2010 in photos. I hope all of you have had a great year as well and I can't wait to see what 2011 will bring!
Happy New Year!
