My view. |
The winter here is insane btw, I didn't think there would be any good cold or snow but oh I was so wrong. There's new snow coming every other day, about one decimeter each time and the cars get really icy if it has been warm while snowing. Yesterday Jess' car had about 4 millimeter of ice frozen onto the windows and it was a pain to scrape it off. Luckily when I had done the right side of the car, the other half was heated up so the ice just slipped off easily. Today it's pretty snowy but the sun is out and shining and the icicles are melting and you can see it dripping. Really pretty!
As you know, we have started to work out again. Tho' yesterday we wanted some sweets and ended up going to the store, feeling sick and disgusting after we had eaten what we bought. So, we went to the gym at 9pm and went home again at 11pm. It was probably one of the nicest workouts I've ever had even if I felt like puking after running on the treadmill. I never thought I'd say this but I can't wait to go back there tonight and run a bit more, I'm becoming a gym-oholic!
I want to take a lot of photos of Grand Rapids and the campuses, haven't had a lot of time or opportunities to do it so I hope it will be soon. The snow makes everything look so much better! I might buy some GVSU stuff today, like a t-shirt and a hoodie or something like that. I really love the clothes that every school has here in the US. They have school t-shirts, hoodies, sweatpants, nicer clothes, winter wear, folders, water bottles.... There's so much more pride in everything over here compared to Sweden, or maybe it's just for publicity when people use it. Anyways, I bought a Michigan State t-shirt when we were at the football game and Jess has given me some of her t-shirts and shorts from different schools she's gone too or got offers for soccer scholarships, but I want some GV stuff too.
Extra: I'm now at the 6th floor in one of the campus buildings and I will for sure come back here next week and bring my camera. The view is amazing and I could take some good photos of the buildings and also a panorama of the city!
